About Emerging Talk 2014:
The annual Emerging Talk event will take place Friday and Saturday at Destiny USA and the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
Kevin Harrington, one of the original “sharks” on ABC's critically-acclaimed business-themed show Shark Tank, will keynote the event. Harrington is the pioneer and principal architect of the “infomercial” industry and has launched over 500 products, resulting in $4 billion in sales and 20 products that reached individual sales of over $100 million.
Emerging Talk will also feature “power chats” by local entrepreneurs like John Stage of Dinosaur Barbecue, Martin Babinec of Upstate Venture Connect, and Danny Goldberg, whose student startup Golden Gear was named one of this year’s “Coolest College Startups” by Inc. Magazine. The event brings together entrepreneurs, students and investors for presentations on entrepreneurship and a series of business competitions.
Each year, the event has drawn more than 250 attendees and has grown even bigger this year, according to a news release from Destiny USA and Syracuse University.
